While I’m sure there are a dime a dozen for accomplishing the simple task of adding images to your sidebar, I’m going to show you my favorite.

It’s a plugin called….are you read for this? “Image Widget“. (You don’t say).

I’ve played around with my fair share of image plugins and I’ve come to really love the simplicity of this one.

3 Reasons Why I Like The Image Widget Plugin

1. It’s Easy: Take a look at the admin screenshot: It has plenty of options but they keep it simple.

2. It’s Versitle. It supports image resizing, image aligning, alt text, captions, etc. It allows you the option to create a clickable link and gives you the option of opening in new windows. This plugin can be used very effectively for displaying ad banners, buttons, headshots etc.

3. You Can Swap Out The Image. I’m always updating and creating new graphics for my sites. I like the fact that I can easily go in and select a different image to use from my library or upload a new one without having to change everything. All the text, sizing, and links remain. I change my mind a lot too so this really works out well for me.

You can get the Image Widget plugin here.
